How do I create products?
CDON supports a variety of ways to create and manage products. Usually the amount of products you look to upload determines the process you use to do so. Please check our four methods below.
1. Manual product creation
To manually create a product through the interface in Connect, click "Add Product" at the top right of the Products page.
Chose what kind of product you wish to create, a regular product or a variation product.
This will take you to the product editor where the product data can be entered.
This method is recommended when handling a smaller amount of products where you have to manage them manually in our GUI.
2. Create products using a file
To upload multiple products at once, you can use either XML files or an CSV file. Instead of clicking on Add Product, click on Import Products instead to get to the File import page. This is where you can import XML and CSV files manually.
3. API Import
Using the API for automation is highly recommended if you have a larger amount of products.
By sending HTTP POST requests containing XML files towards CDON Connects open REST-API, you can create products programmatically.

4. Integration Partner
