As an online marketplace merchant, you play a crucial role in ensuring customers have an amazing experience. It is important that you take responsibility for the products you sell on CDON and keep yourself updated on our guidelines and services to succeed on our platform. If you understand and can handle these areas you will succeed with your sales.
Uploading articles
Note the importance of having good product listings with consistent information about the product. Your product detail page (PDP) is often the first and one of the most important parts of convincing a customer to buy your product. It’s where decisions are made - A well optimized PDP doesn't just explain your product clearly, it builds trust, reduces returns, boosts visibility on platforms like CDON and Google, and ultimately drive conversions.
You can upload your product information in English, we will translate it automatically to the local language of the market you sell in.

Your responsibility as a merchant
You might bring your own experiences from other selling platforms that have different agreements, policies, tools and guidelines. To avoid common missteps, we have highlighted several key areas that are important to be updated on before you start your journey with us!
Reclaimit
When you start selling on CDON, you will receive log in credentials to Reclaimit where you handle your customer service issues, such as regrets, missing shipments and complaints.
Remember to have a professional language as you have direct contact with the customer.
Note that we have a 24 hour rule where you need to reply to the customer within 24 hours, otherwise you may risk having the order refunded.
More information about Reclaimit and education material can be found here.

Delivery time
We would like you to deliver fast, however the most important aspect regarding your delivery time is that the customer receives the package within the specified delivery time. Therefore, it is up to you to choose a delivery time that you know you can achieve. It is important to always have your stock balance updated. If you use a system that is integrated with CDON's API, it can be updated automatically. Otherwise it needs to be updated manually via the Merchant Center.
More information about Delivery Management can be found here.
Performance
As an online marketplace merchant, it's essential to understand that targets for issue rates and performance are in place to maintain a high standard of customer experience. These targets ensure that products are delivered on time, descriptions are accurate, and customer inquiries are promptly addressed. To manage this, we track key performance indicators (KPIs). Failing to uphold a good performance may result in fines, or termination of the account.

Chemical Tax
Chemical tax will capture two categories of product, appliances and other electrical goods (such as computers, tablets, televisions, phones, games consoles and routers). The eight digit customs code determines if a product is in-scope. It’s your full responsibility to make sure that the correct Combined Nomenclature (KN/CN/HS-number) is filled in and to understand the assortment to see if the articles are affected or not.
CDON requires all sellers of applicable goods, whether direct or via its fulfillment service, to comply with these regulations and submit annual proof to the Swedish Tax Agency and to show corresponding proof to CDON on a yearly basis.
More information about Chemical Tax can be found here.

How to maximize your sales
- Good images - A key component of any product ad is the image, which is often the first impression a customer gets when clicking on a product. Read more about our product image guidelines here.
- Title - After the first image in the ad, the title is the first thing that the customer sees. Here you have the chance to make a good first impression.
- Description - A good description is important in order for the customer to get all the relevant information. The description should be detailed, well structured with clear information. Repeat the details in the title and provide the customer with more information in the description.
- Optimize your article information to improve SEO and conversion - By optimizing the content you provide to Google and other search engines increases your conversion and sales on CDON. Read more about about how to increase your sales with SEO here.
- Price - We always strive to show the most relevant products for the customers based on what they search for. So the ranking of the products is based on sales statistics, algorithms, and a combination of relevance, popularity, price and availability. Keep track of your price and compare to Prisjakt to make sure you keep a competitive price on your listings.
- Campaigns - Campaign pages are dynamically populated. This means products are automatically selected based on criteria such as price, popularity, stock availability, accurate delivery time, and relevance. Only one product per SKU is shown, the variant that best meets the criteria. There is also a maximum number of products that can appear on the campaign page and carry the campaign badge. The selection is continuously updated to ensure that the most attractive offers are always prioritised
